Harry Kikstra is an adventurer and has traveled several times around the world. He was the third Dutchman to climb the "'7 summits", the highest mountain in each continent. He has written a highly acclaimed book about his three ascents of Mount Everest, ("3x Everest"), and he has also published three climbing guides.

His pictures and stories have been published in and on various national and international magazines, books and websites, including National Geographic Adventure, Outdoor Australia, Panorama & Penthouse Netherlands, Getaway South Africa and many others. He is currently travelling with his girlfriend Ivana from Alaska to Argentina. They are not taking the fastest routes because they want to visit all the countries on the mainland, climb several mountains and follow the Amazon River upstream!
