My Santos and me

Your Santos on the Santos website?

That is possible, because Santos bikes and Santos riders are a great combination and we are happy to put them on the site. So, do you want your picture here? Please send them to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . This email address is protected against spambots. Thierry Hulsmans here with his brand new Santos.   A wonderful machine according to Thierry.

limburgs_mooiste

Limburg's most beautiful 2011 was wet, muddy and cold! Thanks to my Rohloff hub I went easily upwards, which certainly not everybody could say.

mont_ventoux_santos_Medium

On the left Joost and on the right Berry, both with there Santos Bikes. 2 Days after eachother they rode on the Mont Ventoux without any problems, there bicycles even drew some watch.

Carlijn_blauwesantos_Medium
Carlijn with her Santos just below the Arlbergpas, underway from Sienne to home. Carlijn had the baggage of a friend on the back, because her bicycle could'nt handle a pitty descent... No problem at all for the Santos. So happy together :-)

sjefbrouwers

This will be the last time that you see this bike 'clean', completely new! As well as during work and private I'm riding a Santos. My new bike is the SCC03 with belt-drive... nice, huh!

P.S. and oh it rides so smoothly....in snow, frost, rain, mud and wind I'm back a...child! ~ Sjef Brouwers.

jos2fietsen

A green and a blue Santos! That are colors! This beautifull bikes are from Jos Versteege for the green & the blue is of Patrick Koster.

Santos in de kou

This winter it was bloody cold! when it gets foggy then you get the delicate frost on your bike.... This Santos SCC03 Beltdrive goes trough every weather!

This green 4.29'er of Han is a special appearance!

The Croix-de-Fer, climbed by Dirk and his SCC 03 with belt drive!

scc02_roze_eifeltoren_Large

You will not often encounter a pink Santos SCC02, especially in Paris! Here a photo of Jeroen, and if you look closely you can just see the Eiffel Tower in the background.

mel_en_bert_Medium
Mel and Bert during their travel adventure. By train, by boat and on the bike. With their Travelmasters 2.6 with Rohloff hub, they traveled through Eurasia.

ton_trompert_Medium
On tandems, you can have splendid holiday trips. As these two cyclists have experienced! Here a photo at a crossroads in the Netherlands, but it looks like something out of cowboy land!

Jaap_sonnige_Medium

Joop Sonnige & John Rozing went on vacation on their Travelmasters from Castricum to Barcelona. On the way they naturally experienced many “Kodak moments”. Such as the photo above, and what a wonderful photo it is!

Roland_Vet
Roland Vet did it; 1,924 meters up with 14kgs of luggage, and with a maximum speed of 78kmph downhill without any problems. According to him, a top bike!

FamMorsink
Santos bikes really are everywhere! This picture shows you a Travelmaster 2.6 Alu with belt drive in Andalusia.

Robbert_Appelhof
Robbert Appelhof with his SCC02 during a holiday in Austria, a place that must be “biked”! And I can tell you, that's very easy to do in Austria.

Carolien

Carolien’s bike, a real ladies bike with all that pink!

Teo_Postma
Teo Postma’s Travelmaster 2.6 Alu has enjoyed the stunning landscape of Denmark. And he was very satisfied with the bike!

wimmenzo_Medium
Wim Menzo during the Cabidtocht in Nijverdal with his new SCC 03 with belt drive; and good to know he won!

addy_Medium
The SCC03 with belt drive is in good hands with Addy! Here in action during the holidays, where chains and derailleurs are breaking, but he can just keep going with his belt-drive!

IMG_1978_MediumTest, test, and test again! This is me, Robbert Rutgrink. Founder of Santos Bikes. I have made my profession from my hobby. I'm always busy with bicycles. In the picture I am testing a SCC 03 with belt drive, during a race. That’s how you really get to know a product. Great to be able to combine test work, competition and pleasure

michealjanse_Medium
Michael and his mate during bike training with their company in Schoorl. According to them, the bikes were super; how could it be otherwise?

linseynouwen

Linsey very stylish with her SCC03.

IMG00224_Medium
Even in Vietnam you will find them, Santos mountain bikes. Here a SCC02 in action.

20090718_AlpHuez_org2_Medium
Eddo van Os with his Travelmaster 2.8 on the Alpe d'Huez. To see his smile is to know that he is enjoying it to the fullest!

IMG_0053.JPG_453
Me again. This time on the go in the Haute Provence, with my wife (taking the photo) and children. You can just see the two blonde heads sitting down. We had to stop to let a flock of sheep pass, including a shepherd on horseback - a great opportunity to take a little rest. Climbing with a 50 kg trailer on a 35 degree incline is quite strenuous.

1_w-santosbikes-cows_MG_8164.jpg_453
The bikes that Harry Kikstra and Ivana are going to make their journey on, both riding a Travelmaster 2.6 Alu with Rohloff. It will be a journey of 2.5 years through North and South America.

IMG_0062.JPG_453
Made it - Linda on top after her first real climb. On a real Santos, a Trekking Lite. Although it is Lite ... it didn’t feel so light on the way up. The way back was the reward, fabulous zooming down, because that’s no problem with the hydraulic brakes.

13000034.jpg_453
Santos on your trek through Australia. It was the first tandem in the history of the Crocodile Trophy to make it to the finish - very strong, that Santos tandem. Also very strong, the two professional soldiers who made this outstanding performance possible.

IMG_1941.jpg_453
Caro, the better half of photographer Geert. Always on the go with a Bobkar behind their Travelmaster 2.6 Alu with Rohloff.

IMGres_4307.jpg_453
Caro with her husband Geert. The Bobkar is exchanged for a real Wiessmann Singletrailer, courtesy of Robbert, the founder of Santos (who now has two children, too much for the Singletrailer). On the way with other baggage, actually....

IMGres_3909.jpg_453
Progeny ... Here is the child of Caro and Geert. Having fun with Mum and Dad on the road. Yes little girl, I've heard that your father and mother have postponed their trip because of you. So get used to this way of traveling. Because the trip will go ahead even before you can cycle...

DSC_8292.jpg_453
The Santos Marathon in its element, doing a marathon through the mountains of the Black Forest. Uvo is also in his element, enjoying the scenery and his bike. Seven days at 1500 meters altitude. What more could you want...

DickLOSSANTOS.jpg_453
You will come across our Santos’s all over the world. The place (Los) you will not find Santos is here. This is the proof. Dick - thanks for the photo.

gerard_hondrug_classic_2005_Large.jpg_453
We at Santos, we are riders! Also Gerard, mountain biker and mechanic at Santos. Here he is in action during the Hondsrug Classic. Very stylish, clothing and bike really go together – because for him it is all about the details.

geertbraam.JPG_453
Geert Braam on his SCC03 with Rohloff. Enjoying life during the Transdolomiti - a multi-day mountain bike journey from Sillian to Riva del Garda. The ride is organised by Vasasport. The maintenance-free Santos bike.

P7130243rimpjpg_453
Silvia and Jos during their extraordinarily successful holiday. They cycled all over England (from Land's End to John O'Groats) = 1650kms, and also in Scotland on amazingly quiet and lonely roads. "Our bikes have performed fantastically and we are absolutely thrilled with them". Thanks for the compliment, Silvia and Jos.

vtx8-06LP.jpg_453
Berry Schoeman. On the slopes of Mont Ventoux. Training for the Marmotte. Splendid bike, Berry!

BILD0069.JPG_453
You come across the police everywhere, even during the Transalp. Jos and his colleagues of the Amsterdam police have "done it" and completed their first transalp in uniform. Naturally the favourite bike brand of the Amsterdam police, Santos. And without any breakdowns. Congratulations!

P1000567.JPG_453
Stylish ... Stefan on his favourite bike (Santos), with his favourite brand of tyre (Schwalbe), in his favourite cycling clothing (Santos). A particularly stylish combination, Stefan!

0_bramverbout.jpg_453

Bram Verbout, single speeder par excellence. In action on his Marathon with one gear, during the Duchenne Heroes Alleycat and More race in Arnhem. There were "style points" to win (and yes, Bram won an award...)

Roger van Bulken. After the Honselaarsdijk races, with his lightweight SCC03, carbon front fork, lightweight saddle, V-brakes. Quick and reliable, even in the mud.

JeroenmetSantos.jpg_453

Jeroen and his SCC03. After having ridden a few 'nice' rounds through the mire on the Bergschenhoek course. Rain, wind and mud are all part of the experience, according to Jeroen.

kerstennieuwjaarskaart.jpg_453
Thanks Patrick! We also wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Enjoy the riding in Kyrgyzstan and your Santos Travelmaster. We are going back to work in a few days :-)

AdBusscher.jpg_453
"The oldies still do it well" wrote Ad Busscher, 55 years old and a real mountain biker. Here during the Goudsbergtocht on October 11th, 2008, on his SCC02, the FIETS test winner with its 1x9 concept. "Perfect bike!" (Thanks Ad).

MarcoDees.jpg_453
A true biker, that Marco Dees! Rain or shine, he goes out with his Santos. Marco, we have very beautiful Santos clothes, made in Italy by Nalini.
